Design Philosophy
Every project is approached with a few things in mind:
Authentic: Keep it real by being true to yourself in your design, in your space, in your home, in your business. Walking into your home, your business, your space – you want it to feel welcoming & relaxing. A space you want to spend time in. A space that celebrates the way you live. Authenticity helps achieve that.
Grassroots: Start at the beginning. I approach every project from the primary concept (even if I wasn’t involved in the early steps). Collaborating and listening to all (architects, builders, and clients) helps to establish a confident relationship and delivers a detailed, seamless result.
Accountability: Budget and project timeframe are two of the biggest fear factors in a renovation. I assure to help stay on budget, on time and deliver the concept, while eliminating stress and said fear factor. Not only will the process and end result be profoundly satisfying but a enjoyable process as well.
My design style, and absolute must haves for any project is really quite simple:
1. Classic & Trends: design with classic in mind, infuse with trends.
2. Minimalism vs. Maximalism: less is more & more is more; there is more emphasis now than anytime before on just having design freedom.
3. Quality over Quantity: bigger isn’t always better, but quality is. Invest in quality.
4. It’s in the Details: details are EVERYTHING!
5. Monochromatic vs. Color: love love love a elegant, neutral palette infused with color.
6. Curate a mix of Materials: stark white with a warm gray, natural wood with a metal. Mix materials to create a warm inviting area.
